Hacktoberfest 2026 runs through October, and this year it comes with seven partner perks for anyone who signs in. None of them are public promo codes. Each one is a personal code you generate yourself inside My Hacktoberfest, one per person.
This guide covers what each perk is worth, what you need to unlock it, and the two dates you should put in your calendar.
The short version
- Render: $50 credit. Unlocks after sign-in. Claim by Nov 15, 2026.
- .tech: free domain for the first year. Needs phone + GitHub. Code expires Dec 30, 2026.

How to unlock the codes
- Sign in to My Hacktoberfest (opens in new tab) with a free MyMLH account.
- In MyMLH, verify your phone number and connect your GitHub account. Five of the seven codes stay locked until both are done. Backboard and Render open right after sign-in.
- Open Codes and offers and press Get your code on each perk you want.
- Redeem each code on the partner's own site, following the note on its card.
Each code is unique and limited to one per person or account, and codes do not stack. Hacktoberfest is open to participants aged 13 and over, subject to country eligibility.
The perks, one by one
Render: $50 credit
The biggest perk on the list. Render hosts web services, static sites, background workers and Postgres databases, so $50 covers a small side project for a good while. This is the one with the closest deadline: you must claim it by November 15, 2026.
.tech: free domain for a year
A free .tech domain for the first year, redeemed at get.tech. Good for a portfolio, a demo, or a Hacktoberfest project page. The code expires December 30, 2026. Check the renewal price on get.tech before you pick a name, since year two is paid.
ElevenLabs: 1 month of Creator
A month of the ElevenLabs Creator plan for voice generation and cloning, with no credit card required.
Browserbase: 1 month of Developer plan
Hosted headless browsers for scraping, testing and AI agents. The code is applied when you sign up, and Browserbase asks for a card to activate the Developer plan, so set a reminder if you don't plan to keep it.
Tinker: $10 credit
Credit for Tinker, the fine-tuning API from Thinking Machines. Handy if you want to try training a small open-weight model, which fits this year's open-source AI theme.
Backboard and Paper Instruments: $5 each
Two smaller credits for trying something new. Backboard's code goes in on its Billing page with no card needed. Paper Instruments lets new users skip its waitlist with the code.
Which ones to grab first
If you only do one thing this week, claim the Render credit before November 15. Then verify your phone and connect GitHub so the other five unlock, and grab the .tech code while you're there, since it has the second hard deadline.
FAQ
Are these codes free to share? No. Every code is generated for your account and limited to one per person. Codes posted publicly by other people won't work for you.
Do I need to make pull requests to get them? No. In 2026 pull requests no longer count toward Hacktoberfest rewards. Signing in with MyMLH is enough for Render and Backboard, and the rest need a verified phone and a connected GitHub account.
Will tahoo.tech keep this updated? Yes. We recheck the official promos page after the Render deadline and update the listing when perks change or expire.
